| Team work is good stuff – it makes the world go round. You can be an individual if you like – and that’s fine – but mostly, team work is the name of the game – even revising for exams works pretty well in teams! |
| Why it is important… |
| How many individual people really know the answer to life or even big questions like “what’s for supper”? Not too many! That is why 1 + 1 = 3 with team work. You get more out of putting heads together quite often than everyone going off to think it all through on their own. Sometimes you need more than one person to make things happen. |
| What you need to know… |
| Management trainers talk about “teambuilding” – so do sports captains. What’s that about – simple – it’s about people getting to know each other – getting to know what makes someone mad, glad or sad – and we all differ in some ways – good teams understand that. They may not know each other that well sometimes – but experienced team workers are good at reading the situation around them.
