What we are talking about here…
Entrepreneurs are people who are good at turning good ideas into action – they take risks and often “go it alone”, driven by a passion and conviction in what they are doing.
Why it is important…
The world needs entrepreneurs – it would be a boring place without them!
What you need to know…
To be an entrepreneur, there are a number of characteristics that you need to have:

  1. The inner motivation to succeed and turn ideas into reality.
  2. The personal drive and energy to create order out of seeming chaos.
  3. The willingness to experiment and take risks.
  4. Lateral thinking – the ability to look at things in different ways.
  5. The ability to excel at opportunity / problem finding and defining.
  6. Objectivity and clearly defined goals.
  7. A clearly defined system for encouraging creative thinking in others and managing the innovation process.
